The Fastest Kona N in the world is back again with LAP3 Stage X Tune Upgrade! And of course, that means new 1/4 Mile Record for the Kona N 2.0T platform! :) 0-60 in 4sec & 1/4 mile in 12.1sec. The vehicle ran with Full Weight with typical street tires. With some weight reduction, improved shifting sequence, and radials, the customer should easily break into mid-high11sec 1/4 mile times! With proven world record 1/4 mile times, the Stage X upgrade allows you to run an electronic boost controller of your choice; low boost, mid boost, high boost etc, available at the press of a button. This offers extreme flexibility, allowing you to run many different fuel types and change boost level accordingly while driving, without having to reflash the ECU. 93, 95, race gas, methanol injection, etc, you name it! Depending on the controller, it allows you to program 3-6 boost profiles, and they offer gain function, scramble function, programmable overboost protection as well as an AFR failsafe if you want to utilize an aftermarket wideband sensor. Another major benefit of the wastegate upgrade is significantly faster spool time & response during on & off throttle and between shifts, especially for M/T cars that lose boost between every shift. The delay that was always present before with the OEM electronic wastegate is completely gone, power is instant as soon as you're back on throttle. This is a game changer and is instantly noticeable doing pulls. Der Hyundai KONA N bewegt sich irgendwo zwischen den Welten von Crossover und SUV, drückt aber 280 PS, geht in nur 5,5 Sekunden auf Tempo 100 und rennt 240 km/h Spitze. Dazu besitzt er eine Launch Control und ein hochmodernes 8-Gang-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe. Etwas Krasseres hat es von der Auslegung her in dieser Klasse noch nicht gegeben. Da kommt auch der VW T-Roc R nicht ran. Er geht zwar mit 20 PS mehr an den Start, die er - im Gegensatz zum Hyundai mit Frontantrieb - klassisch an alle vier Räder schickt. It’s the Kona N - a small crossover that borrows the oily bits and most of the platform from the Hyundai i30 N hot hatch, packaging a 2.0-litre turbo engine making 206kW (276 hp) in a 50mm shorter wheelbase and taller body. The Kona N is still front-wheel drive only. It doesn’t have AWD, meaning it isn’t a truly direct rival to the Audi SQ2, a vehicle the Kona N arguably targets in the Australian market. However, it starts from $47,500. Chief rival to this vehicle when it arrives next year will be the Volkswagen T-Roc R.
