This video from Culiacán, Sinaloa is part of my Let's Walk Around playlist - basically, we just walk around an area of city for 10 minutes in a completely raw and unedited fashion! A mini-documentary showing another side of #Culiacán, Sinaloa. A city infamous for the Sinaloa #cartel and #El Chapo, making it a front-runner in media when it comes to "dangerous"-news. The aim of this video is to show a completely differente side that media rarely, if ever, mentions. The reason behind doing so it to bring some positive light into things and to show that in these places, there is still, of course, people living and "normal" life. We want to show the vibe of this city through a foreigners eyes and the welcoming mexican hospitality in action. Leila coming here as a solo-female backpacker with no prior experience in video making nor being in front of the camera, only coming because of an idea and a goal despite what people said, brings a very real and honest perspective. ■ CULIACAN, MEXICO: Before going to Mexico a haircut was long overdue. I resisted the urge to trim my long luscious locks though, hoping there'd be street barbers in some of the smaller towns. Since that wasn't the case, my number one priority upon reaching the city of Culiacan was to get a proper haircut.
