I was out for a long range fpv session a while ago. I had done a warm up flight going about 3km out and back. I was just about to go for the peak for the first time that day but the unexpected happened long before reaching my goal. Video chapters: 0:00 - Intro / Flight across river 0:40 - Good thing it didn't happen here 1:10 - Prop failure 2:30 - Checking out the damage 3:21 - Test flight afterwards 4:28 - Later that day 5:00 - Ending / Video suggestions Comments? Questions? Leave them in the comment section below, I try to always answer. I'm often asked about how I get such good video and transmitter range. The biggest improvement for most will be from upgrading their antennas. DEMO ATTEMPT TO EMERGY BRAKE IN NORMAL MODE ... STILL NO SUCCES Update on emergency motor shutdown in normal mode, like discribed in manual it has first to be activated in goggle under safety and then you should be able to emergency brake the motors in full air in normal mode by moving both sticks to the down inner/outer possition , or the “CsC” maneuvre wich is the same as when you start the drone. I tried to simulate an emergency situation more less same as getting stuck in tree or something , but there is no way then i can shutdown the motors emediately. I hope im still doing something wrong and also hope some people woth some sparetime try this with their fpv , maybe i have a faulted drone than ... thanks Group.

At my local park doing some FPV early in the morning so there is very few people. I flew one "warm up" pack before this breakage. In the video I'm getting a ticking noise that started the flight before (also on video) so most likely the B prop started to degrade performance at the end of the previous flight. This was the second flight of the day. I didn't find the other half of the prop at the crash siteas it got thrown pretty far and I looked for 5 minutes. I was able to bend the arm back into place, I'll post a follow up video to highlight the damage.

WARNING: DO NOT install DJI FPV drone PROP ADAPTERS without watching this video first! Note: make sure the metal filings didnt fall inside onto the magnets in the bell, trim sideways!) Edit: I had the props set out in order and I turned the drone while filming and messed up the order. i havent flown it yet (or tried lol) and thanks to a couple viewers for pointing out my dumb mistake! LOL 😂😂😂 I am on my third DJI FPV drone and when i received my latest one back from repairs (a new unit) when I went to install my prop adapters they all went on smoothly except one. That one took me almost an hour of careful tapping and wiggling to finally remove it. It seems the stem on the mount was coned at the end, now this may be a machining error but it also may be purposely to keep people from installing adapters, and it wouldn't be surprising if this were the case. This video is intended to save others the stress I went through as well as potentially damaging their drones. I used a metal file to file the tip of the stem and it took only a few minutes to do and the adapter slid on fine after that. I also show how to properly use the wrenches included with the adapters as I saw quite a few installation videos where they were incorrectly used making the process alot harder than it should be lol. I hope this video helps anyone who just purchased the prop adapters or is thinking about getting them. Please comment below with your thoughts or experiences, especially if similar. Part 1 of DJI FPV drone prop Adapters test using HQProp Ethix S3 Watermelon 5 inch props = BIZARRO MR. STEELE FPV !!! No disrespect to Mr. Steele of course! lol! All in good fun! I took this video in my back yard and I left the prop noise for obvious reasons. This is my first flight with these adapters. DJI FPV drone uses 5.3 inch props. These ones are 5 inch. I did fid it more responsive but haven't tested it enough to comment on flight time or speed, even though I didn't notice much of a speed difference to be honest. Comment on your experiences if you have tried these adapters and what props you've used! I'm also interested in trying out 5.5 inch props, as that is the biggest recommended props to use. Apparently you can get 5-10% more flight time, not sure how they would affect performance though. If anyone has tried them feel free to comment o your experience below! Next up 5.1 inch peanut butter jelly props!
